MediTrain’s Medical Receptionist Course has been developed through an ongoing collaboration of experienced industry professionals as well as ongoing industry consultation to deliver the most thorough and in-depth Medical Receptionist training in Perth, Western Australia.
Our qualified trainers (Liz, Mel, Bianca, Lisa and Robyn) are highly experienced in Medical Reception, and Practice Management, giving you every opportunity to become the best, by learning from the best.
This course gives you a complete understanding of the procedures, policies and terminology needed to work in the medical industry. Included in the course is comprehensive training in the computerised medical accounting package, PracSoft (optional training in Genie also available), all aimed to transform you into a well rounded medical professional that will be a valuable asset to any employer.

Our medical receptionist course consists of 5 units of competency, all of which must be completed in order to obtain your certificate.
Access to support 7 days a week via phone or email throughout your training
Medical Software Training (PracSoft) throughout your course. Each session will include a half day theory and a half day practical with hands on computer training (Optional Genie training also available)
Representative training from HepatitisWA in relation to blood borne viruses and safe handling of bodily fluids

Access to free online St John Click to Save first aid training (Certificate printable)
Access to free work experience insurance and referral programs (Not required for completion of course, but developed to assist students to gain access to the industry – please contact for further information)

We offer the Medical Receptionist Course in two different delivery modes so that you can choose how you learn.
Short Course duration is 1 day per week (Day depends upon the location you choose) over 4 weeks from 9.30am – 4.30pm. MediTrain ensure to incorporate Hands on Computer training enabling you to become confident and competent using Medical Software as well as learning all the theoretical requirements to work as a Medical Receptionist.
Intensive Course duration is 1 week full time, Monday – Friday, 9:30am – 3:00pm.
A 30 minute lunch break is allocated for lunch at 12:45pm – 1:15pm. There will also be a 15 minute mid-morning break at 10:30am. Please note that all breaks are strictly timed.
Upon commencement of training, students will be provided with a Program of Work that will outline their session plan. Below is an example of how the sessions could be delivered (Please note – This is example is not relevant for the Intensive Course or the Mandurah Branch):
MediTrain course fees are all inclusive (excluding food and stationery). Your fee covers all in class facilitated training, all books and learner manuals, use of Oxford Nurses Medical Dictionary and Hands on Computer Training on PracSoft.
