Attendance
All parts of the curriculum are compulsory.
Submission of Assignments
All assignments and homework given to students must be completed and submitted on the date specified. This is in order for trainers to complete assessments before certification can be issued.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
This is the formal recognition of the skills and knowledge a person has, regardless of how or where these skills may have been obtained, i.e. through formal or informal training, work experience, voluntary work, and life experiences.
Recognition of Current Competencies (RCC)
This is a similar process to RPL, based on the formal recognition of current skills, knowledge and attitudes that a person has already developed.
Tuition
All tuition fees must be paid in advance.

Cancellations
Cancellation of any course prior to commencement of training is subject to a non-refund policy of deposit, as stated on student registration form. If you have paid the full amount and cancel less than 5 working days prior to commencement of training 50% of the full amount will be refunded. If your training has been funded, your agency will be charged the cancellation fee. If course date you have registered for cannot be met, students are entitled to one transfer only to the following course and MediTrain must be notified within 5 working days prior to commencement.
Penalties
In order to receive Certificates, students must attend every session of the program. The student is responsible to inform MediTrain of any sessions they may be absent for.
Withdrawals
When you withdraw from any MediTrain training course after commencement, course fees are non-refundable. Notice must be given in writing to MediTrain of any student who wishes to withdraw.
Assessment Requirements
Learners must demonstrate that they can perform consistently to a defined standard and in a variety of contexts. Therefore, it is inevitable that the demonstration of critical knowledge and skills will need to be tested more than once, in a range of situations and using a variety of methods that are faithful to the performance in the real world of work.
Student Responsibilities
As a participant in any MediTrain training program you will be encouraged and expected to participate fully in the training and assessment process. You will have group and individual activities and assignments which need to be completed. Students are expected to ask questions if they do not understand some aspect of the content being covered. However disruptive behaviour, particularly any behaviour which may pose an occupational health and safety risk will not be tolerated and if this occurs students will be removed from the group. Before students will be accepted back into a training program a meeting must take place to discuss the unacceptable behaviour and set strict ground rules for future behaviour.
Special Needs
Participants in any MediTrain course with “special needs” to inform MediTrain prior to commencement of any training course in order to assess participant requirements. MediTrain will endeavour to meet these needs and offer support and assistance.
Complaints
MediTrain has a formal process for student complaints, grievances and appeals which is available upon request.
Students with a grievance should initially approach their trainer to express their concern within 48 hours. The trainer will endeavour to resolve the concern. If unresolved, the student should complete a Student Complaints, Grievances and Appeals Form. The concern will then be assessed by the Director who will endeavour to resolve the concern.
