Frequently Asked Questions
Can you guarantee employment?
Although MediTrain cannot guarantee employment the success rate for our students is high. Most students will find work before completing the course and some may even be whisked out of class to start immediate employment.
What rate of pay can I hope to achieve?
The starting pay rate varies greatly between different employers and can be determined by factors such as practice/pharmacy size, job responsibilities, and age. However, almost all employers value a highly motivated, positive and skilled employee, therefore the major factor in what pay rate you can rise to depends significantly on your attitude towards your work. Employees with the right attitude are a priceless asset and attitude can be your most powerful tool to achieve job security and excellent remuneration.
Are there plenty of employment opportunities for students upon completion of the course?
There is currently a skills shortage in the fields of Medical Reception and Pharmacy Assistance. This means that our skilled students have the pick of the best jobs around.
I have no experience in this field and haven't worked for many years. Will I find a job?
Although experience is valuable, it is not a major determining factor in you finding work. It is simply achieved by applying your formal training in a consistant manner over a period of time. Employees with formal training gain the benefits of experience more rapidly as they have a greater understanding of their tasks.
How far can this training take me?
We can offer further training in the fields of Medical Reception and Pharmacy Assistance that can take you as far as you want to go. Please contact us for advice as to what career pathways lie in front of you.
I don't know how to use a computer. Will I fall behind?
Don't worry, you are not alone. Many of our students have very little experience with computers. All you need to know is basic keyboard and mouse functionality and even if you don't have that, you will pick it up very quickly. Our trainers will give you extra attention if necessary to make sure that no one will be left behind. (Computing is only involved in our Medical Reception course)
Can I do the course from home via distance learning?
You can currently do our Medical Reception course via correspondence. In the comfort of your own home you will have 6 months to complete the course, giving you maximum flexibility. You will have unlimited contact with our trainers in case you have any queries so as not to be disadvantaged.
